ADVOCACY

Fierce advocacy moves us from the adversity of breast cancer to action at the individual, family, community and systemic level. We’re aiming for impactful and transformational change that leads to better breast cancer outcomes for Black women.

ADVOCATE

Our Breast Health Advocates are trained sisters helping sisters, meeting the breast health needs of patients, survivors, thrivers and caregivers. Our advocates can help you prepare for medical appointments, go to appointments with you, be a listening ear, get you connected to other resources and more. To get connected with one of our Breast Health Advocates or to learn more about becoming a trained Breast Health Advocate, complete this form.

We train women to serve as Breast Health Advocates within their communities where they live, work, worship, shop and receive services. Our Breast Health Advocates are, sisters are helping sisters by:

• Spreading breast health and breast cancer information
• Arranging for free mammograms and diagnostic tests
• Providing emotional support while going through breast cancer testing and treatment
• Connecting women with needed resources to lighten the burden of their treatment

The advocates are ready to help when the opportunity or need arises. Send us an email (info@pink-4-ever.org) for more information about this initiative and the next Breast Health Advocate training.
